Melony helps leaders compete in the AI economy by using PR, thought leadership, and media relations to build authority, fuel visibility, and increase discoverability by humans, AI and LLMs.
A master of earned media as a growth engine and customer acquisition channel, Melony has shaped narratives that have supported billion-dollar valuations, advanced shareholder alignment, and elevated executive and corporate reputation. Whether guiding a CEO through change, or building credibility from the ground up, she brings clarity, influence, and measurable results.
As Corporate Communications Lead in the Office of the CEO at Mainstreet Equity Corp., Melony directs strategic communications, investor relations, and media engagement for one of Canada’s leading public real estate corporations. Her work has contributed to record visibility: over 1.4 million Google hits, major national and international coverage, the company’s first dividend, and a significant increase in share price. She also produced Mainstreet’s 25-year anniversary tribute, ringing the bell to open the Toronto Stock Exchange.
Previously, as Head of Brand, Communications, and Culture at DLT Labs (now KNNX), a global enterprise technology firm, Melony built the communications platform that scaled the company and led cross-functional rollout of Walmart Canada’s digital transformation with a blockchain-enabled supply chain system. Her media strategies earned coverage in Forbes, Harvard Business Review, and other global publications, while her internal programs achieved over 90 percent employee satisfaction across 500 staff worldwide.
Melony is known as a community builder who understands that reputation is a form of capital that is strengthened through trust, empathy, and shared purpose. She bridges the corporate and charitable worlds with a deep understanding of CSR and ESG, ensuring that business objectives and social impact move in tandem. Her community work includes leadership roles and contributions to the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, Sunnybrook Foundation, Heart and Stroke Foundation, ComKids, POGO, Neshama Playground, and Children's Aid Foundation. She is guided by a commitment to add value, advance equity, and turn goodwill into measurable growth.
From 1998 to 2017, Melony founded and led Get It Done Inc., a boutique communications agency specializing in strategic communications, brand positioning, and public relations. The firm delivered more than 100 mandates for organizations such as Porter Airlines, RBC, and TD, and helped raise over $250 million for major investment and charitable campaigns. During this time, she also served as Communications Director for McLean Watson Venture Capital / i4i LP, leading communications for the landmark i4i v. Microsoft patent infringement case, a U.S. Supreme Court victory of over $300-million USD that was covered in 65 countries and named one of Time Magazine’s Top News Stories of 2010.
Across every mandate, Melony brings a distinct blend of strategic precision and human connection. She helps organizations build trust, grow visibility, and compete with confidence in a world where reputation is currency, attention is earned, and algorithms are part of the audience.
